Pears

This was my response to a Christmas challenge from one of my Facebook art groups Atelier MG. to produce a series of drawings, one of which was of pears or a pear.  I found the reference photo on a free reference site and changed the background to give it more dramatic lighting to focus on the pears.  In the photograph the background was patterned wallpaper, which for me didn't work.  

This is soft pastels on Pastelmat paper.  It's mounted and framed in a lovely gold frame which really draws out the colours in the pears.  Prints are available, please use the contact form to order.
