I am fan of any indicator that summer is on it's way and this is one of my favourites. What a welcome visitor is the swallow, easily identifiable from it's close relatives the Swift and the Martins by it's deeply forked tail. My old schoolfriend, Stephen Tavener took this photograph and kindly allowed me to use the image to make this painting. This is oil on canvas and it measures 18" x 30". It is unframed. It can be reproduced as a canvas or art paper prints and will be available on greetings cards. Please contact me if you would like to purchase a print.
