This painting was inspired by a neglected and overgrown churchyard with the gravestones barely showing through the tall grass and brambles. I know that life moves on, but I was drawn to the phrase "Lest we Forget", hence the poppies. The title came from one of my friends, and it seems quite appropriate. The whole scene is resting, waiting for rejuvination.
This is oil on canvas and measures 24" x 24". It's paited on gallery style canvas so is 38mm deep and doesn't have to be framed, but would look nice in a box frame. It is currently unframed but I could have it framed on request.
Prints are available either on boxed canvas or art paper, mounted and backed. Please contact me for details.
